Le grand-père Louis
Alice va rendre visite à son grand-père Louis.
Le grand-père Louis est un peu sourd.
Alice: Salut grand-père !
Louis: Salut Alice, quel plaisir de te voir !
A: Je t’ ai appelé il y a une heure, mais tu ne m’as pas répondu. J’étais inquiète.
L: Désolé, mais souvent je n’entends pas la sonnerie. Je suis assez sourd maintenant.
A: Pauvre grand-père ! Où est ton portable ?
L: C’est sur la table de chevet, à côté du lit.
A: Puis-je le prendre ?
L: Bien sûr.
A: Ici, je peux augmenter le volume du téléphone.
L: Merci ! Je ne comprends aucune de ces choses.
A: Mais ce n’est pas vrai ! Tu sais utiliser l’ordinateur.
L: Oui, mais avec le portable c’est différent… ça me met juste en colère !
A: Si tu veux, je peux t’apprendre quelques trucs.
L: Mais je crois que les téléphones portables et moi ne nous entendrons jamais !
Grandpa Louis

Alice: Hi, grandpa!
Louis: Hi Alice, how nice to see you!
A: I called you an hour ago, but you didn’t answer. I became worried.
L: Sorry, but I often don’t hear the ringtone. I am almost deaf by now.
A: I’m sorry to hear that, grandpa! Where’s your cell phone?
L: It’s on the nightstand, next to the bed.
A: Can I take it?
L: Of course.
A: Here, I can turn up the volume on the phone.
L: Thanks! I don’t understand anything of these things.
A:That’s not true! You know how to use the computer.
L: Yes, but with the cell phone it’s different … It just makes me mad.
A: If you want, I can teach you.
L: But I think cell phones and I will never get along!
